Nissan Models in Kenya

Nikon Sangyo Co. and Tobata Imono Co. founded Jidosha-Seido Ltd. in Japan in 1933. Together they manufactured Datsun passenger cars. The interesting thing is that this model brand was revived by Nissan, reintroduced in 2014. A minivan and a compact car are now offered under the Datsun name, but only for the Russian and Indian Mart. The Nissan company continued in 1934. It is renamed to Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and now produces cars, trucks and buses for the mass market.

Nissan Models in Kenya

The car manufacturer Nissan quickly recovered from the setbacks of the Second World War and in 1951 presented the legendary off-roader Nissan Patrol with a 6-cylinder and 85 hp as the independent vehicle. The Nissan car brand is becoming more and more important to the international automotive world when the Datsun Bluebird comes onto the market in 1957 and develops into one of the most successful Nissan models ever. After successfully supplying the US market, the company also presented itself in Europe and thus also in Germany in the 1960s.

New Nissan cars guarantee passionate driving and environmental awareness

Nissan Europe employs around 12,000 people across Europe and aims to continuously reduce CO2 emissions. In 1973, Nissan Motor Deutschland GmbH was founded and, in the year of the oil crisis, convinced environmental activists with the production of the Nissan Sunny in view of its low fuel consumption. Two years later, Nissan is even the largest automobile exporter and is also involved in the technical development of gas turbines, electric motors and Wankel engines. Since 1992, Nissan has also established itself as a small car manufacturer and designed the Nissan Micra, which was named Car of the Year a short time later and became a bestseller.

With innovation and elegance to the top

In 2003, Nissan posted a new record turnover of 6.29 billion euros and confirmed its position as one of the most profitable automobile manufacturers in the world. The Nissan QASHQAI was even voted Car of the Year in 2007, but the Nissan X-TRAIL, TIIDA and the new Nissan GT-R super sports car also scored well in terms of comfort, design and safety and quickly became a dream car.

The alliance with Renault

In 1999, car manufacturers Nissan and Renault signed an alliance agreement. This went hand in hand with an exchange of shares, in which both car brands remained independent. This means that the management of the car manufacturers remained self-sufficient and the profits flowed to each individual. At the same time, CEO Carlos Ghosn, a manager known as a reorganizer, came to Nissan, who wanted to halve all of Nissan's debts within a period of three years. This should ensure that the company remains competitive and that job security is not jeopardized. This was achieved by closing some plants in Japan and dissolving old structures. However, investments were also made in Nissan's new vehicle development and new models were developed.

Nissan series and models in Kenya

The Nissan brand offers a wide range of vehicle models for different needs and preferences . These include the small car Nissan Micra and the compact SUV Nissan Qashqai , which is also available as a mild hybrid variant. The fully electric compact car Nissan Leaf is suitable for environmentally conscious drivers . In the SUV class, Nissan also offers the models Nissan Juke and Nissan X-Trail – both optionally available with a plug-in hybrid drive – as well as the electric SUV Nissan Ariya . Families can find what they are looking for in the Nissan Townstar high-roof station wagon or the Nissan Primastar minibus . Most of these models are available in Kenya either as Ex-Japan imports or new from authorised Nissan dealer

Nissan alternatives in Kenya

With regard to suitable alternatives to Nissan, a look at the other Japanese manufacturers Toyota, Mazda and Honda makes sense . Both car brands produce similarly reliable vehicles that are good value for money. Like Nissan, the manufacturers' model portfolio also includes efficient hybrid and electric cars as well as high-performance sports cars.
